Trip Report - Grays and Torreys Combo Route
Intro
Grays and Torreys Peak is an easy set of twin peaks to knock out in the Colorado Front Range area. At ~1 hour from Denver and with limited parking, the upper lot was full by 5AM. If you want to avoid the hike up the road, hitchhike or get to the road’s entry before 4:30AM for the drive up.
There were lots of pikas and a pair of mountain goats out. On top of the other animals, there are lots of humans. Be careful, they bite.
Route Overview
The hike up takes you through a beautiful meadow. From the meadow, the trail leads up to the peaks. You may choose to take either way up to Grays or Torreys up; a saddle connects the two and easily crosses them. The hike is an easy trail the entire way with bits of scree at some points. See 14ers for the route write-up.
Length: 8.25 miles
